Brompton Hill Climb Weekend

By popular demand, Blazing Saddles are repeating their Brompton Hill Climb weekend to get you whizzing up and down for a good cause. The Brompton is THE iconic folding commuter bike, ridden by city folk from the leafy suburbs to the tube station and through city traffic to the office.

On the weekend of 13th /14th of May, Blazing Saddles are lending out Bromptons for an hour at a time. Test out the bike’s reputation on the Cragg Road hill climb out of Mytholmroyd, up to Blackstone Edge Reservoir [the longest continuous hill climb in England.] Book a ride and challenge yourself in the arts of bike folding and uphill pedalling. There are prizes for fastest and slowest times, and best [and WORST!] fancy dress. Every hill climber will be named on the leaderboard, receive a free water bottle and a cup of tea/coffee from Craggies café next door.

This is a fun event which last year attracted over 50 competitors between the ages of 9-72. If you own a Brompton, we’d love you to bring it, ride it and show it off too!

Entry fee £5, with all monies raised going towards keeping the kettle boiling for the Chevin Socialites’ charity, who provide free refreshments for cancer patients at St. James’ Hospital in Leeds.
