Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.
A circular route from Hebden Bridge that is mostly off-road, making use of National Cycle Route 66 to Luddenden Foot and returning to Hebden Bridge on the Rochdale Canal. The route initially follows a former railway line to Mytholmroyd and then, after a short section of road, passes through the countryside to Luddenden Foot. The route back along the canal is popular with families and passes through a pleasant marina before returning to the park. The route is suitable for all types of bikes, but those with lightweight racing bikes may find the surface uneven in places.
This ride uses part of National Cycle Network (NCN) route 66. To find out more about the NCN and other great places to cycle near you everyday, go to the Sustrans website (http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/national-cycle-network).
