Halifax Marathon Cycle Show

Go:cycling, the cycle promotion element of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority are delivering a cycle festival or event in each of the 5 West Yorkshire districts through August & September.

We have so far confirmed 2 dates which may be of interest to families.

These are Huddersfield, Greenhead Park on 09 August as part of the Made in Huddersfield festival and The Shay , Halifax on 31st August supporting the Halifax marathon.

The events run from 10:00 through to 4pm each day.

At each event there will be a free prize draw with a voucher for at least £100 to be spent in a local cycle shop, Huddersfield for example is £150 thanks to support from Wheelspin cycles, as well as many other smaller prizes.

We will also be offering a selection of the following activities dependant on each location:

• Pedal Powered scalectrix, race family & friends around the track while you chose the speed you go
• Enjoy a free fruit smoothie , all you have to do is pedal the blender !
• Dr Bike a free safety check if you bring your bike down , with a 20 point report from the Doctor
• Bike try out sessions with a range of standard or adapted cycles suited to people of all abilities
• Free tuition for basic bike maintenance so riders can learn to look after their machine
• Bike handling or safety skills tuition to help give riders confidence to keep cycling

We will happily signpost anyone interest to local clubs, so why not drop some of your leaflets down at our stands?
